A recurring detail in floor plans, hundreds of plants in a site plan or a model that needs to be quantifiable in a short time - this is where manual work quickly becomes the most expensive part of the project. The right SketchUp plugins for architects can reduce repetitive tasks, make the model more consistent and provide a better basis for decisions. But more extensions are not automatically better. The best solution is the one that fits your way of working, your deliverables and the skills that are actually available in the team.
When SketchUp plugins for architects are of real use
SketchUp is fast in the early stages because it is easy to model, test proportions and communicate spatial ideas. As the project grows, other requirements arise. Document how each plugin will be used in the project: who is responsible for it, what settings apply, and how the results will be saved.
